Tate Goes to ER

Our poor baby Tate had a fever of 101.7 at home so since she was 7 weeks we had to go to ER.  They did a bunch of testing to determine source of fever and ruled out bacterial with lumbar tap (ouch!).  Tate got hydrated and a ton of antibiodics to help her fight off infection and hopefully clear her nasal congestion.

Little Nurse Part II

So, I am convinced Tegan is going to be a health care professional...a nurse or MD.  First, she took care of Toby when he was ill (do remember the hand feeding from hand to mouth she did?).  Now she is watching over her baby sister who had a fever last night.  Here she is feeling her forehead to see if the fever is still present.

Zoo Animals

It was a nice day and Tegan walked so well with her monkey I thought we would try it at the zoo as she is really getting really excited about animals.  Our first stop was the Ape House. She ran up to the large gorilla eating his breakfast of lettuce and carrots and started to laugh, bang on the window and break out in a mini foot stomping rendition of footloose.  She looked at me and said, "monkey" and then educated all the older children around her.   Tate slept the whole time while snuggled up in my baby carrier.

Little Monkeys

It was nice weather on this St. Pat's Day so we headed out to Starbucks.  This was the first time Megan and Tegan wore their monkey leashes and they walked like pros, holding hands on the way there and back.  Way to go girls!

Big Girl Chair

Tate does not like her baby chair, but she really likes the bean bag chair.  Here she is posing.

Horsey in the City

After leaving doc appointment I drove through Old Town and we came across some horses grazing in an empty lot.  This is the start to her new horse craze.  Thanks to Nanna, Tegan now has a new toy horse that she gallops with and takes to bed.  She also likes to play horsey by pulling out the kitchen drawer and sitting over the edge.

No to Ice Cream.....Yes to Sorbet

Every kid likes ice cream.....right?  Well, Tegan can take it or leave it.  Her desire lies in sorbet....lemon sorbet.

I Did It

Tegan has begun to take pride in her art work, pointing at her pictures and saying "I did it!"  However, she has also begun to fib a little.  She is now taking credit for the art work hanging in our living room.  The second and third pictues are the creative work of Ms. Tegan Lee.

Choo Choo

Nanna, Tegan, Tatum and I all went to lunch at The Choo Choo is Des Plaines today.  Tegan LOVED it!!!!!

Early Birthday Surprise

Nanna and I decided to take Tegan to the Choo Choo restaurant as trains are a favorite for her at this time.  Tegan's birthday is not for a few more weeks, but I couldn't help have a birthday cupcake delivered to my little girl.

RIP Kevin

This has been a sad time. On Sunday, March 6, 2011 I received a phone call from Keith informing me that my cousin Kevin died in his sleep.  Kevin had a heart of gold and lived life to the fullest....he will be missed greatly.  We love you Kev.....

Lipstick

Tegan loves to play with mommy's make-up.  She likes her chapstick and lipstick, but has some trouble finding her lips.  She knows how to pucker though.  Kisses to you babe!!!
